To celebrate the launch of the TexTransition Flash text animation package, we are giving 3 developers the opportunity to win a free license!

To save yourself $30 and score a copy of TexTransition, all you need to do is join the forums and reply to this thread, introducing yourself. Let us know a bit about your Flash skills and development background, but dont worry, we wont be favouring seasoned developers over AS3 beginners, everyone has an equal chance to win a license.

The winners will be picked at random in 2 weeks time... we look forward to hearing from you all and making text animation a whole lot easier for 3 of you ;)

UPDATE
Competition extended! 3 more licenses up for grabs! First 3 winners are
  • Dridgett
  • IqAndreas

Hello,

Although I'm not eligible to win a copy of tT (I'm on the development team), I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself anyway.

My name is Sam, I'm from Australia and I've been working with Flash for about 3 years.  I've worked on a few full flash websites but also done plenty of smaller flash based stuff like banners, intros and short animations.

I look forward to hearing from more members soon.

~ Peace

My names David. I got out of TAFE last year so I'm still getting my head around a lot of web development stuff. I love Flash, but I haven't done much AS3 work. I want to be able to include more Flash in the smaller sites I've been working on and this seems like a great way to do it.

My name is Andreas Renberg, and even though I have only been working (intensively) with Flash AS3 for the past year and a half, I am no beginner to programming. :)

About 4 or 5 years ago I started dabbing in Visual Studio.net (still my favorite programming suite, hands down) and working heavily with MS SQL, and in time, started running a few servers (old computers with 180 day evaluations of Windows Server 2003 on them :P  ) for my own use. Along the way, I have been trying out various other languages such as Perl, Java, and PHP, but Actionscript is the language that I have been using the most, mainly since, unlike Visual Studio programs, Flash apps can run on (basically) any platform without having to install any extra tools or even an executable (considering, according to Adobe, that 98% of all computers connected to the internet have Flash on them)

Now, when I'm not taking classes I sit all day helping beginners with programming on the kirupa.com forums, as well as do a bit of programming and code modification for a local website design company.

I took a look at the examples, and TexTransition seems like a really neat system with some awesome effects. I wonder if they can be mixed with papervision and AugmentedReality for some fantastic results. :D  I should give it a try, at least with some normal textFields (unless, of course, I get a chance to mess around with this library...)

Sadly, I'm living on roughly $150 per month (living is free though, but not utilities or food), so $30 is quite a sacrifice for me. :P

Offtopic: I checked out your site a little and might give it a try. It seems really nice. Why isn't Flash on the list of available courses?  ;)

Hello,

My name is Alex.  I have been working with Flash and Actionscript for over 5 years.  I love working with Flash.  This is really interesting.

I love to share my Flash knowledge with others.  Therefore I have been spending over a few hundreds hours to write a lot of tutorials and put them all to my website (http://www.FlashWonderland.com) last year.  Actually I keep uploading new Flash tutorials to my website all the time.

A few days ago, I wish to write some AS3 tutorials about flash dynamic text animation with some powerful packages.  I searched Google and happy to find your website.  Your Actionscript 3 package is what I am looking for.  However my website is providing free Flash tutorials. Therefore I only used free packages (e.g. Box2D Physics, Pulse Particle System, etc..) to prepare tutorials on my website.

While I browsed your website, I happened to notice that you are giving away some free licenses.  Therefore I decided to reply your email, wishing that you will offer me a free license to prepare the text animation tutorials.  As you noticed that I will put the name of packages I used to prepare the tutorials on my website. This will also help to promote your products.

Best regards
Alex

Hey my name is Chris.  I have used Swishmax for some time because I loved the text effects but recently have been using flash cs4.  I would love to have the ability to move the text like you do with these effects.  Thanks for a chance to win this.  Great job on these effects.
God is Love.
